Richard Tuttle + Whitney

PG&Co was commissioned to produce the branding  for artist Richard Tuttle’s retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. In reference to the artist’s own use of contrasting materials, we chose to use two contrasting paper stocks—one thick, one micro-thin—as well as a juxtaposition of different surfaces, from raw on the exterior to smooth on the interior. The blue flower image, created by PG&Co, was later sampled by the artist in his own work, completing the collaboration.
